Grants to USA PreK-12 public and private schools in Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma for innovative projects that support technology and enhance education in areas where the funding source does business. Funding is intended to help children achieve their full potential in the classroom.

Grants are available in the following areas:

Oklahoma City, Kansas, and Tulsa Regions: Innovation in Education grants are open to PreK-12 public and private schools within Cox Communications service areas.
- Individual classroom grants: Programs or curriculum impacting a single classroom.
- Collaborative grants: Programs or curriculum impacting multiple classrooms, grade levels, disciplines or schools.

Arkansas and Omaha Regions: Requests may be for programs or curriculum impacting individual classrooms or collaborative programs impacting multiple classrooms, grade levels, disciplines or schools.

Sun Valley Region: Innovation in Education grants are open to PreK-12 public and private schools within Cox Communications Wood River Valley service areas. Requests may be for programs or curriculum impacting individual classrooms or collaborative programs impacting multiple classrooms, grade levels, disciplines, or schools.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Arkansas and Omaha Regions: up to $2,500
Kansas, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa Regions: Individual classroom grants up to $5,000; Collaborative grants: up to $10,000
Sun Valley Region: up to $500

Term of Contract:

Funds granted by Cox Charities must be used for the request listed in the grant application and used within the school year in which the grant was paid.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Innovation in Education grants are open to PreK-12 public and private schools within Cox Communications service areas.

The following will not be considered for funding:
- Playground equipment
- Technology that is not part of a larger curriculum or program
- Teacher development and /or substitute days
- Student/Teacher conferences
- Financial compensation
- Teacher travel, student field trips, guest speakers or performers

Additional restrictions:
- Multiple teachers/administrators should not submit applications for the same project.
- Teachers can only receive one grant per school year; schools may receive multiple grants as long as they are for unique requests.
- Schools may reapply each year.
