Grants ranging from $1,500 to $2,500 to USA, Canada, and International organizations for community-based chamber music instruction programs. Priority will be given to programs that promote diversity and improve access to music in underserved communities. Particular interest is given to programs serving students ages 18 and under. The purpose of this program is to support the continuing learning and instruction in chamber music for musicians of all ages.
As a general guide, Chamber Music Workshop grants are primarily provided for chamber music workshops for adult amateurs while Community Music grants are provided for community-based chamber music programs for young musicians and others. If, because of project timing, a Workshop Grant application is received for a program that is not for adult amateurs, it must be for a program of 6 weeks or less duration and must comprise primarily of coaching and playing in chamber music in order to be eligible.
Applicants must include a detailed outreach plan indicating how recipients are reached and the criteria for selecting recipients.
