Friends of Flutes Foundation (FFF)
Grants of up to $2,000 to USA flute players for specific projects that improve their skill, ability, or capacity or that achieve an objective that will affect professional development as a flutist or flute educator. Applicants must plan to pursue a career as a flute educator or flutist.
Examples of such projects are:
- Attending a master class.
- Attending a seminar.
- Attending a music festival.
- Traveling to or preparing for auditions.
- Overhauling a professional-grade flute

A single grant may be up to $2,000. While a Grantee may apply for more than one grant, no Grantee may obtain more than one grant in any one calendar year, regardless of the amount of the first grant. No Grantee may receive more than $5,000, taking into account all grants.
Funding is for non-summer projects only.
An eligible applicant must:
- Have completed high school.
- Be a student in, or have graduated within the last three years from, a recognized degree program of a music school, conservatory, or music department of a university or college.
- Play the flute as his or her principal musical instrument.
- Reside in the United States.
- Intend to pursue a career as a professional flutist or flute educator.
Relatives of officers, directors, or employees of FFF are not eligible for grants.
At this time, grants are not given for the purchase of instruments.
The current deadline for applications is January 31, 2018 (non-summer projects only).
FFF may, however, in its sole discretion, consider earlier applications for non-summer projects.
Summer applications will be accepted after January 31, 2018 and prior to deadlines of March 31 and May 15, 2018.
