Grants to Kansas nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and faith-based and community organizations for programs that benefit children and youth in foster care. Funding is intended to support activities and projects that lead to successful and stable placement outcomes for children in out-of-home foster care placement and in the custody of the Secretary.
DCF understands proposals will vary based on the population of impact. Programs should contain design elements relative to the proposed strategy population that may include the following:
The grantee shall be responsible for providing direct services that support the implementation of strategies that result in improvements in targeted state-or community-level factors, while also contributing to at least one of the State and local outcomes as indicated below. Depending on the program scope and design, not all outcomes are applicable. The proposal should include information on which outcomes or alternate proposed outcome is impacted.

DCF will award three (3) to six (6) grants
Maximum award amount of approximately $500,000 annually distributed across awarded grants. Individual grant amount awards will vary.
July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022. The grant term is one (1) year in duration, with the option of two (2), one (1) year renewals.
