Supplemental Information (2025)
OUR GRANTS ARE FOOD DONATIONS TO FOOD AGENCIES. WHEN WE RECEIVE INFORMATION ABOUT A FOOD DONATION FOR US FROM A GROWER OR DISTRIBUTOR THEN WE PUT OUT THE INFORMATION TO OUR NETWORK OF FOOD AGENCIES (FOOD BANKS AND FOOD PANTRIES) STARTING WITH AGENCIES IN CLOSEST PROXIMITY TO THE DONATED FOOD. WHOEVER CAN ACCEPT THE QUANTITY OF FOOD (EITHER ONE OR MULTIPLE AGENCIES) WILL THEN RECEIVE THE FOOD. WE THEN SCHEDULE TRANSPORTATION OF THE FOOD FROM THE FOOD DONOR TO THE FOOD AGENCY. WE DON'T HAVE SPECIFIC CRITERIA THAT AN AGENCY HAS TO MEET - THEY HAVE TO BE ABLE TO RECEIVE THE FOOD. THE AMOUNT OF THE GRANT IS OUR ESTIMATED VALUE ATTRIBUTED TO THE FOOD THAT IS DONATED TO US AND THEN SUBSEQUENTLY DONATED TO THE FOOD AGENCY.
