PRESERVATION OF HISTORICAL OBJECTS

To establish an educationally oriented center for the public, devoted to the collection, preservation, study and dissemination of information on the natural and cultural environments of and the high plains of western Kansas.

Assist in preserving the agricultural heritage of Johnson County, Kansas by providing, maintaining and operating an attractive venue for the community to hold educational, agricultural and agri-tourism events and activities while offering venue opportunities to the general public that will assist in the financial support of the corporation in furtherance of its mission.

To promote and produce or cause to be promoted and produced, rodeos, horse shows, roping contests, and related activities and to promote and encourage the preservation of the Western Lifestyle and our Western Heritage.

PRESERVATION OF BUILDING

To support Childhood Language Disorder Clinics; support needed medical treatment of crippled children; help support Elmo Lodge and temple preservation.

DESCRIPTION OF ORGANIZATION MISSION: GROWTH FACTORS ARE MONITORED IN ORDER TO EVALUATE THOSE EFFECTING . ALL ACTIVITIES ARE GOVERNED BY THE NEED TO BE CONSISTENT IN THE PRESERVATION OF COUNTYS QUALITY OF LIFE. ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED TO LOCAL, , STATE AND NATIONAL GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES TO EXPEDIATE AND ENTICE BUSINESSESS TO LOCATE IN . ASSISTANCE IS MADE AVAILABLE TO COUNTYS EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTES AND STATE GOVERNING AGENCY PROGRAMS TO PREPARE INDIVIDUALS FOR EMPLOYMENT WITH BUSINESSES AND INDUSTRY. ASSISTANCE IS OFFERED TO EXISTING SERVICES AND SUPPORT BUSINESSES. MCEDC OVERSEES AND CO-ADMISTISTERS WITH GREAT PLAINS , COVERING SOUTHWEST KANSAS COUNTIES, MICRO-LOAN GRANT FUNDS AWARDED TO AND RURAL BUSINESS ENERPRISE GRANT FUNDS AWARDED TO MCEDC FOR START-UP AND EXPANDING BUSINESSES AND INDUSTRY.

TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE AREA, THROUGH, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE PROMOTION, ENCOURAGEMENT AND SUPPORT OF EDUCATION, HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF FAMILIES and INDIVIDUALS, PRESERVATION OF NATURE, HISTORY, AND THE PROMOTION OF RECREATIONAL and CULTURAL PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES.

To bring together those people interested in history, especially in the history of , Kansas. Society is dedicated to the preservation of , Kansas, artifacts, printed materials, oral history, other relevant material, which serve to record the history of the area. Society will bring together those people interested in that history will make such items available to the public for display, research, educational, informational purposes.

To operate for the purpose of providing distributions and grants for qualifying organizations with a specific focus on preserving, presenting, promoting and supporting the cultural heritage of the Smoky Valley community, especially the Swedish heritage that influenced pioneers to create the unique community of Lindsborg.

MANAGE CONSERVATION AND HISTORIC PRESERVATION EASEMENTS IN ORDER TO PRESERVE FOR OUTDOOR RECREATION OR EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC; PROTECT NATURAL HABITATS; PRESERVE OPEN SPACE FOR SCENIC ENJOYMENT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC; PRESERVE HISTORIC STRUCTURES; AND PRESERVE HISTORIC AREAS.
